Well lad's, got back from a great driving experience on saturday, track was situated in heyford park, oxfordshire. We stayed in birmingham so an hour travel on the train and a 10 minute taxi right to the door. The track is an ould air base so you can imagone plenty of space to fit a track. So after a briefing and safety talk, we did our track familiarisation lap, in dare i say an evo. Followed by 2 wrx's, basicaly learning bends and braking points. Im not much of an author or word spinner so, i'll keep it basic, first up was the ferrari f360. Accompanied by an instructor whom by the way has raced on mondello, and took great interest in the i.s.d.c. jacket and club, on with the lap's first back straight on third gear 7000 rpm into a small quick in n out chicane then the main back straight up to 4th gear and pushing it as far as allowed, into asweeping bend back down to 3rd into another really sharp in n out onto the finishing straight again pushing the car as much as allowed by the instructor. Finished my lap's and moved onto the unbelievable gallardo, 510 horsies, paddle shift gear's absolute amazing sound of the v10 in your ear's, scoobies sound animal but this thing was savage. Same track and with some knowledge of turns and points, i got to get a little more from this beast, top end speed 196 mph. Sadly it all came to an end to soon, and with that i got a nice certificate with some encouraging comments. As you will see the i.s.d.c. was well represented on the day. As i said not much of a word man but hope the pictures will give an idea and thanks for reading guy's. Don't know how to upload all the pics so will try again but here's four anyway.
Cheers
Alan.
Cheers
Alan.
