my observations

Fair play for giving lads the heads up!
Even if all the gearbox issues are sorted, It is still useful info so lads can be aware of possible issues!

Only emailed that bloke the other day looking to get my hands on the rear bumper but he said there's 3 people interested in taking the car as a whole

The only reason Im posting this is if Im right I could save someone alot of troubles. But if Im wrong Im apologizing and will

Or if your wrong you can be ruining the sale of car on a person, building up bad stories about a certain car and ruining the persons reputation :snooty:

I dont really see any point in stupid threads like this other than to knock in time, speculating and gossiping like a pack of ould women.
If you want to buy the car then buy it,.. if you dont, then dont, forget about it and go have a few beers instead

fair play, you could possibly save some poor unfortunate chap blowing all his hard earned cash on a lemon

I rang the original owner on behalf of a friend who was looking into buying this originally and he seemed very very genuine-he even rang back to tell me that the car was sold for breaking so it would appear that original ad was genuine. And I'd have to agree with Ken C on this-if youre gonna buy it...buy it. Dont try to ruin a sale.

Buying a second hand car your always taking a chance as theres no way of knowing the full history of any car. All you can do is get it looked over by a good mechanic and do a cartell check on it but even then not all things can be detected.

Since there is a lads who think its not right Im removing the original post. But still my opinion is that theres always ppl
in this forum looking to buy a car and as a buyer no1 would protect you from making a potential mistake which could cost
you lot more than expected. No doubt there is fellows here that can go for new car with no worries, but if you are going
for a cheap deal or car that needs repair most of the time means that you are on a tight budget and not prepared to
waste more $$$$. And I was considering this car but when I saw the reg I remember that I saw this car before, I browse
old adds and this came up. Theres no many red blitzen on the market and few that are there are 5k+ so it looks tempting
when u can put the same car on d road for less than 2k.
Like I said Im apologizing if Im ruining the deal for the fellow, but I stay my grounds that he doesnt mention neither
''GEARBOX REBILD'' or ''GEARBOX PROBLEM''. And I think theres enof topics here from ppl asking ''does anyone knows
anything about this car'' who are aming exactly the same to protect each other of making mistake that could cost us
money which we are no prepared to spend.

Sorry Ken... I have to agree with dontommy... If he hasn't advertised the problems in his advert than no harm mentioning them here.

I wasted 100 euro on deisel on a 700km round trip... and a wasted day due to a guy who wasn't all that honest in his advert of bout his car.

Supposedly... Car was mint... never painted...and needed nothing! Got down there to discover gearbox leaking.. clutch gone.. underside damage... interior in tatters... and the whole left side of the car had been painted!

If that info saved someone a wasted trip like mine... I'd have no problem putting it in a public forum!

I just think that there is too many threads started on this forum and other forums now a days running down cars, and especially without having viewed them,
Im not sure if its people just starting a thread for something to talk about or if its just the times were in, guys seem to be looking for a minter for pennys, they also want to be baby sitted into buying the fooking thing, 2 years ago they would buy anything that started for 20k, now they want service history and to be tit fed into a car for 1k.
I had a guy who did a finance check on a 13 year old car, it had full service history and low miles, when he couldnt find anything wrong he said there was 7 previous owners and had i any idea why there was so many, did you ever hear anything like it and it fookn 13 years old :icon_hang:
Lot of lads just dont have the money to buy now, and when they see a bargain, it breaks there heart and all they can do is speculate and run it down without seeing it to make themselves feel better

All these threads that are started are grand when its not your car, but lads wont find them too nice when it is about there car

And no offence, but i am having problems understanding your posts DonTommy, not sure if its text lingo, or what. or maybe i just getting too old to read it :icon_cry:

To be fair Ken., I know a lot of lads are after cheap deals these days considering the the drop in second hand cars... but I think most of us expect that a 10-15 year old car can come with it's chequered past and odd problems.

The guy that came looking at your car TBH sounds like a tosser... 13 year old and 7 owners... equates to a new owner every 2 years... which is perfectly exceptable. I'd a snapped up a car like that with FSH and low miles and wouldn't have cared less if it had ben owned by lucifer himself.

I dont' believe it's any harm starting a thread asking... Anyone know this car?... but then just PM them if you have info on it... and give em a heads up of what you know!

Seeing a car first hand is always the best option, even if it turns out to be a complete waste of time.

What might bother me, may not bother someone else!
