Apexi Remap by Martin Tracey.
Version 6 didn't really need a remap on the ECU once keep standard. Only needed to be done if modded in any way so it could run fine on standard ECU as she hasn't been modded.

Never rebuilt or mapped, though its ran on E5 and to be honest very very rarely let loose.

Eric was last to get her on a dyno and it was around the 260bhp & 195 whp afaik.
Will miss this car terribly but just not worth paying the insurance and tax to leave sitting in the garden. Driving it from Ballyfermot to work in Tallaght (about 14kms a day) and rarely moves over the weekend.

Lads have a buyer for the car but his insurance company are giving him hassle. They won't quote him even though he is already insured with them on an IS200. Do they have to quote him? Is there any legal ground which says they must offer him a quote?

If he's currently insured then he has a legal right to continue with a policy, they must offer cover until the end of his term.
Tell him to call their bluff, ring them up & actually request the change as he's just bought the car, they can't refuse. Once thats in place he can give you the money...everyone is happy

As said, just ring up and say "I'd like to make a permanent transfer of my policy to my new car." Give policy number, wait 'til they get his file up and get him to play dumb and when asked what's the car just say "it's a 2 litre Subaru, the reg is bla bla bla, thanks very much."

I can't see it jumping massively from an IS200. There'll be an increase alright but I doubt he'd get raped on renewal. If they do try it then just turn around and say OK I'll just cancel my policy because I've a cheaper quote with better cover on offer from a different insurer.
