MY TRIP TO JAPFEST

Turbo Tony

Petrolheads
Well lads just home from what i can only say,
has been a sucsessful and fantastic trip,

small summary,

(thursday the night befor)
up till 2am fitting spats and a set of
O.Z superleggera's, witch looked lovely.

couldnt sleep as i was bouncing around the house like a kid at christmas,
got no sleep and got ready to leave.

(friday)
me ant the girl, left the house at 5.15
(me with a huge smile on me face and her in a grump)
met up with a few of the lads in the red cow,
and left at 5.30 to get on our way.

met noeler2006 and sarah down at dun drum
and saw mark on the bridge. (nice photo).
made it down to rosslare after a load of
crack on the c.b :)
met up with tom & olivia, bob, niall and keith (sound lads)
got chatting after seein the black type r.
me being a mouthy fu(k sayin tom's car is a black wanna be, hahaha
then got talkin to the owners of the cars,
fell in love with toms type r in the end,

got on the boat and set sale,
felt sea sick to bits, but i was grand an didnt barf hahaha.
got off at pembrooke or how  ever ya spell it (im so tired typin this so forgive spelling)
got lost at the first turn (thanks noel, just kiddin)
made our way to the petrol station and all the while having great crack on the c.b
(niall using the kurb to catch air then acting like it didnt happen, so funny)

then the annoying part happened,
after leavin the petrol station all the lads went taring off and left a
few of us behind to get really lost,
no contact from anyone, was left with a sound bunch of lads,
(even if tom's sat nav got us lost and we were an hour more
then every one elso to the hotel) and thanks to noel being the only one to come look for us.

got to the hotel and our click was all so bull headed but glad to be there,
had a few drinks and a chat befor bed with JAP FEST in the morning.

(saturday)
was down in reception mad early,
like 7.15 for some brekky. was ok but not worth the 5 pound lol.
left shortly aftert that to head down to JAP FEST.
so the convoy took off with a loud rap from the exhausts of 15+ of our cars.
witch was great, convoy down was great and alot more arganised then the evening befor.

JAP FEST as an event is a must see thing, so amazing and greatly organised.
the food cars and wemon at it were to die for.
BAR THE BATH OF A NISSAN, what WAS HE THINKING.....
took a million photos, some crackin lookin stuff at it,
convoy back to the hotel was great to nad 12 of us got chinese after ward.
more drinks and then to bed again.

(sunday)
got up about the 9 mark and went down to the car,
minor problems with the heating and sh1t but i didnt really give a sh1t
because the goal had been reached of just making the car show..
sorted it all out with the help of some of the nicest blokes iv ever had the plesure of meeting.
then we left the hotel at 10.30 in convoy to the boat,
witch went so smooth it was out of a movie or something...

got on the boat and had another grat laugh with the lads
boat was a bit late in but the drive home was great to.

i have left so much out but it was one of them "BE THERE SHARE THE MOMENT THINGS"
all in all it was a cracking weekend,

the saturday and sunday home went perfectly,
EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE TRIP HAD NO FAITH IN MY CAR
(i wonder why tho??? lol) but she did it,
the whole way over and back after the quickest engine job ever..
im so glad i did this, even with all the money problems.

iv met some of the nicest lads ya will ever come across in the club,

i just wanna thank STI Brian, it wouldnt of worked out so well only for him,
(we dont always see eye to eye brian but i had a laugh this weekend man thanks)

Good man Tony fair play you got there in the end  I don't know you are haven't met you yet but delighted you made it over there against the odds stacked against you . Nice one to the lads that helped you out,it just goes to show what this club is all about  :subaru: It Would have been a good short story/clip to show the effort & commitment you & fellow members put in to make this event

Well Tony, still in shock that you made it there & back, you certainly beat the odds

I'm delighted that everyone that has posted so far had a good weekend & can only hope that the lads that have yet to post all had a good time too.

There were some minor issues over the weekend but I hope they won't put people off travelling with the club again. Loosing Keith the night before the trip was a bit of a blow as he was the man that took the lead in organising this trip & not having the older & wiser heads like P1 Alan and Nodge there to turn to it was definitely a learning curve for me.

Apologies to Diesel Tom and better half, by the sounds of the size of your room you could both shower & be in bed at the same time :icon_redface:
And to the lads who were afraid of running out of petrol on Saturday morning, my satnav had that petrol station on the route just outside Castle Combe, but I didn't forsee the traffic jam & resulting sweaty palms when you boys thought you were gonna have to push cars the last few hundred yards.

And finally just to thank everyone for making the trip, you all did the club proud over the weekend
