my turbo got louder!!!?

ok so i installed a new knock sensor today after getting the code read and some t clamps for the intercooler made for a tighter connection,
noticed a gain in power (so happy with that back to normal)
but i dont remember hearing my turbo spool up being so loud before :ponder: :dontknow:
only thing i can think of is the sti intercooler i installed?

is that a bad thing? i like it but hope it dont go pop :subaru:
sounds like this clip (not the engine) - but from in the inside of the cab
 
I know i have noticed a difference in the spooling sound since the weather got colder....
maybe thats what was what you got? ya maybe just didnt hear it cause it was leakin so badlyman
 
hi lads,

Usually when you put on a down pipe you can hear both the waste gate chattering and the turbo spool more.
Also with the air cooler these days the cars are boosting a bit more, espically in the cold mornings and evenings. Bit more power but can also over boost! So be carefull.

interesting ,
since i got mine rebuilt and remapped i can also hear my turbos a bit more ...
i presume its because the boost was upped during the remap to 1.0 bar primary , and 1.4 on the secondary from 0.6 and 1.0 initially
 
im boosting at 1.3 bar and its only since i put in the new knock sensor i noticed it,
i have a bigger intercooler now but didnt noticed before i fitted the knock sensor :dontknow:
