My Widearch EJ18 nearly finished

Also, do you know it will fail the NCT without rear door handles?

Dont think it will pass. If car came with rear door handles then it must have them for the test.

Also definitely not my cup of tea either, 10 out of 10 for the balls to try something that different.

She's an interesting motor alright!
Fair play for all the work you've put in so far! and keep it up,
I'm a function over fashion lad myself, but well done for coming up with something different!

It really wont pass and they will notice, they will get into the back seat to test the seat belts, so he might notice that he can't open the door

Gary (Scooby1wrx) on here had the same issue with a civic a few years back, I think he got 2 doors just to get through the test.
He can explain things better to you. But its a safety thing too, if your involved in an accident the fire brigade or ambulance crew can't get anyone out of the back etc.

Welcome to the club, nice motor :subaru:

Ye i was failed for not having the handles as they were just flushed, the nct guy said stick any coluor doors on and you will pass, two wine doors on my red civic and it passed then strait back on with the originals, but the saftey issue did become apparent when i did eventualy have a crash as the people who had come to our aid were shouting that they did'nt know how to open the doors to get the kids out and panic was setting in.

Excuse my ignorance........but what is a 1.8 AWD?

I've never heard of a 1.8L Impreza :dontknow:

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Wow, that's a horrible thought,
I'd stick the handles back in there man!
You'd never forgive your self if something happened!
Dan

I would but i was goin stripping the back of it out after the nct and putting in a half cage so id have no need for back door handles

Ya the wheels are 17s.. i have coilovers on it since i took the pics though and they dont look bad with it lowered but i badly need spacers for the back

Indeed a set of massive spacers will do her a world of good!
Are you thinking of an engine swap at some stage? Or is she a show car?
Scoobies are like lego, lots of bits off lots of model fit each other
So shoe horn in a 3.6 flat 6 out of the new tribeca, and couple of turbos!
Ok that may be pushing it  but lots of WRX or Sti bits and running gear would bolt in handy enough!
