NCT fail

Alright lads,

Had NCT tonight. Went ok BUT it failed.......

Failed on Steering rack gaiters, both sides. Anyone idea how much they cost?

Only a few euro each, but they are a bit of a pain in the arse to fit so labour might be expensive.

Very little I imagine If just gaiters, they are just rubber covers aren't they? Ring Carroll & Roche in the morning for a price prob your best bet, have your chassis number to hand.

Was thinking they were fairly cheap, will ring c&r tomorrow an go somewhere else

no colm...
track rods have to be taken off to fit the gaiters so alignment can be altered...
money making idea from NCT...
but seriously some mechanics out there are plainly just shite at working on cars..

Asked that too Colm, Markobuckos right, have to track wheels aswell.

Got price, about 80euros for the pair of gaitors. Collect em next friday.

If your changing the gaitors yourself, simply mark where the tracking is with some tip ex.

Take off old gaitor, on with the new and set track rod up to the tipexed marks.

Then get her tracked. Simplies
