NCT Question.

The brothers Nissan failed its NCT, On he's form was the Slip-Slide Test not done.

Just wondering does any one know what this means exactly.

I have to replace the rear drop links on it, would this be part of why it wasnt done.

Any info would be great.

Yeah its the rear pistons that push out the brake shoes, they are not getting enough pressure to them, easy fix...just replace the rubbers on the pistons....one is probably leaking...

Dont think so Keith,my misses had a clio and it failed its NCT and that was the reason it failed, slip slide test, and was told to fix the rear brake pistons on the shoes....?? :ponder2:

here lads the side slip test is just your tracking and it automatically gets done when the car is driven onto the suspension/brake tester. the only reason it would be down as not done is if for some reason they didn`d do a suspension/break test on it. was there any other major problems that would mean they couldn`t test it?

its defo tracking,

i use to do it all day every day where i use to work.

any good garage can do it,
bout 50 to 60 euro.

Cheers lads, i've checked hes NCT report and the brakes are working fine,

just the anti roll bar bushes and links at the back need replacing. So fingers crossed

once there replace it should be fine.
