NCT with oversized scoop

hey guys, Just wondering has anyone failed an NCT for having a larger scoop on their car. Ive my NCT next week and (as you can see from my profile picture) I have the larger scoop fitted. Its much more noticable from inside the car than the standard one and could be considered to be restricting your view (much like a sunstrip)
would i be better off switching it back for the test? Suppose it depends on the tester on the day really
anyone with any experience on this?

I can't imagine they would, they wouldn't have any dimensions for the original scoop to know whether it had been changed or not.

Not worth changing IMO

yeah, I might just leave it on and see what happens... i have the original scoop anyway if it means changing it for a re-test

My car has passed 2 NCT's with a large scoop on. ( bugeye wrx)

leave as is steve they could not really fail you over something stupid as that but would not be surprised see how you go lad

Worst case scenario it'll be a free retest as its a visible inspection only

yeah true, I'll leave it on for the first test anyway... its usually two or three trips to the NCT centre anyway before theyre happy.
I'll let ye know how it goes just for info anyway

they wont fail on it... i have large scoop and it passed test..

it also passed test for tinted visor

you should be fine i have same scoop last 2 yrs , done NCT 6 mths ago passed no problems , polish mechanic could nt even start car cause of blacjax

my wipers do touch the sunstrip... i guess it just depends on who you get and what mood there in... its a joke but unfortunately it has to be done. good to have it out of the way for another while anyway...
