I have my nct in the morning and i was told today that the (standard) :dontknow: 3'' sti exhaust system i have will not pass,and my rockers are leaking but i just got the gaskets this week so will be fitted some day after the nct.

Just one more thing,i was washing the engine today and after it sounded like sh.t (spit fart spit fart) but after a bit it was ok,whats that all about?

but if you have a oil leak
just wipe the offending area off with a cloth prior to bringing the car for a test
wipe all areas where leaks can occur :thumbsup:
 
They don't test the size of your exhaust!!
They now test noise levels,maybe that's what you were told?

On the engine sound......you must have got the
Plug leads wet and then they dried out with heat while the engine
Was running.
Sounds like a miss fire to me
 
exhaust will be noise level and emissions
would a car have come with his exhaust from factory or would it be aftermarket :dontknow:
personally if im doing nct on a car ive never tested before ill just send it in
and then if it fails then rectify problems
otherwise you could be fixing things they never noticed
do the visual stuff yourself and then hope for the best :thumbsup:
 
My NCT is up this month..Whats the story with a full de-cat? I have the downpipe cat to put back on..By the sounds of it that wont be enought to get her through noise and emmisions??
 
Downpipe will be enough for emissions, but they also test noise level now, I have a blitz on mine and just put the bung in and no problems.

Ive a zerosports on mine so ive no bung..So i could have to source a full standard exhaust to get it through the NCT? Sucks

ive a full zero/sports system on mine with race cat. flew through the emission test and noise level test 2 weeks ago.
stick the cat in it and you will be fine id say (as long as your lambda is ok) :thumbsup:
