Newbie - West Dublin based
Hi All, just got set up with an account here recently and I'm hoping to purchase my first scoob shortly. ISDC has a great vibe going from what I can see
I remember well first seeing the classic Scoobys around London when I lived there in the late 90's and thinking ... SERIOUS motors!! Well, it's pushing on for 20 years later but never say never, eh!
I'm looking at Blobeye WRX's at present ... would love to stretch to an STi but think the budget won't quite make it. I'll most likely import from the UK and will probably go for a scout over there real soon.
I see that lots of the UK cars are not totally standard and I'm just wondering about remaps and 95 Octane fuel. Some of the ads for cars with PPP include a photo of the Prodrive certificate and it recommends 97 Octane but says that 95 is still safe. What do members here generally do ... remap for 95, just use the car "as is" with 95, use octane booster? Any advice appreciated.
Well, if all goes to plan I'll have a couple of photos up here shortly and we can get this show on the road properly!
All the best,
Gav
