Never knew this about the NCT (Updated)

Re: Never knew this about the NCT

i think that means if you are waiting to get a date for more than 3 weeks its free, not if you ring up and make an apointment and earliest free date is 2 months away :subaru:

Re: Never knew this about the NCT

maybe it is, doesn't make sense though as everytime iv called to make an appointment the person on the phone always gives you the date straight away, iv never had to be or heard of being called back with a date (correct me if im wrong) :ponder2:

Cleverly worded by the lawyers. My understanding is if you wait more than 3 weeks to get a test date then its free. Chances of that happening are next to zero.

Lucky you, unfortunately others are not so lucky ....
I was lucky enough too , i rang and was told that the next 6 weeks were booked solid in all my local centres , but received a callback the next day and was told i would have the test in two days time ....

Re: Never knew this about the NCT

Hi All

Call the other day to book my car in I requested three test centres and the closed date I could get was 19 July10 weeks. Did not bother me as the car is already seven months out of date any way. But I rang last week to book my granddads car booked in and got a spot the next week.

So why can I not get a spot for two months when there is free spaces closer. :dontknow:

I will be printing that page off and handing it to them as payment. I know it is only €80 but it is the hassle of waiting. :angry1:

Re: Never knew this about the NCT

one of the lads in work here booked the NCT, was waiting 4 weeks, when he got to NCT centre he paid the €50 as normal
after the NCT he sent a letter to the head office in Citywest outlining the charter along with his receipt and they replied confirming his refund
it took 2 months for the cheque to come but he said he got it last week :icon_jook: :icon_jook:

Was that him waiting 4 weeks to be given a date? Or was that him getting a date confirmed that was more than 4 weeks from the time he booked it?

My Nct was due in May and I rang them to book and she gave me one for three days later in Portlaoise. I couldn`t take it so she gave me a cancellation date. I got a letter to say it wasn`t til september :shock2: Passed it but i think i`ll be sending on to get a refund. Feck that! :naughty:
