Totally totally do not agree.
False info. A forum member on here is looking for a engine as is on a 2.5 wrx.
Exact same issues as sti re ringland and head gasket issues
And put an extra 3k aside for engine work. It's a case of when, not if.
that 3k in my back pocket is burning a hole the last 5 years, maybe I should buy a 2.0L
How do you mean?im surprised at you dave!!!
Refer to above post.that 3k in my back pocket is burning a hole the last 5 years, maybe I should buy a 2.0L
You've owned yours from new/near new and know it's history and made sure it's been maintained and you'd trust it. Very few like that on the market nowadays.
For anyone buying a used 2.5 it's advice given across the board from engine builders recommending factor in costs for a rebuild, just in case.
I would if I was buying a 2.5 and if the engine hadn't given up within the first 12 - 18 months I'd spend it on a holiday or something.![]()
I agree in a way and sorry if I came across blunt but the 2.5 hawks value imo reflect there issues, tax been one, already in the price.
