New B4 Driver ( with pics)

Hey Guys, im new to the scooby scene having prevoiusly has 2 Civics ( last one EP3 Type R). I picked up a very clean 02 B4 on Sunday and I have been really impressed, the Legacy has unbelieveable torque and really pulls. :wazzup: Bit disapointed by the gearbox though :icon_cry: But all in all an excellent car so far. The only mods are an STI boost gauge and turbo timer, I plan to keep it standard for the moment.

My first plans are to tidy it up a little:

Drivers side need wind deflector
Needs new gear gaitor
Drivers side tweeter missing and casing broken
STI Gearknob
Install an i pod compatiable cd/radio

Where is good for the above parts?

Also the previous owner didnt know about the service history and if it had been mapped. So I plan to get it serviced and timing belt done but how will i know if its been mapped????

If it hasnt who would you recomend and what should i be looking to pay.

Genuine Sti gear knob - Japanparts.com

Gear Gaitor - Ebay but make sure its a reputable seller

Wind Deflectors - You would be better off buying a brand new pair from Lusk Motor Group or Carrol & Roche for just over €100. Second hand ones will have the sticky tape part worn or partly missing which could result in an annoying rattle.

Whats a tweeter? :dontknow:

As for mapping, there are a few options in the trader section, Street Performance, Couture Auto, East Coast Customs and Sti Tuning. They are all in the traders section and im sure if you contacted them with your chassis umber, then they will be able to tell from their records whether your car has been mapped.

If you are not planning any mods, then just use E5 petrol with 1/3 bottle of NF Octane Booster and you will have no problems as the ECU will adjust itself no problem to that mix. You should wait until you decide on a few mods before you get the car mapped as a tweak wil set you back nearly half the money again when you want it
