Your very welcome, that's car looks gorgeous, if it had engine rebuild at Ali burrows last January I seen it in person.

Just do what I didn't when I bought mine, put it on a lift and bring someone who knows them inside out mechanically wise, that mistake cost me 5k.

Advise wise just usual, has engine been rebuilt, if so with whom etc, service history and whether mapped for Irish fuel otherwise engine rebuild will probably happen and that's pricey.

Best of luck with her.

I seen this car at Tuam car show here in Galway earlier in the year. This is only picture I took of it for some reason but it looked like a stunning car. Didn't go around it enough to spot any faults on the exterior but looks like a cracker. Make sure you check it out 100% first.

Nice looking car . Would advise removing the rear inside panel covers and check the inside of the rear arches for rust or bad repairs .

It's a 10 min job removing the rear seat and unclip the rear cards but it's a must buying any type r . Also unclip the rear boot covers and have a good look in around the inside arches . After that it's the usual checks best of luck let us know how you get on

Welcome along man and good luck with the search been looking at that on done deal cracking looking car as joe said have a look inside the rear door cards to see the inner quarters

I highly doubt any lad will let you strip the back seat and quarter cards. Seen on a lift will prob be the most reasonable request

It's a 5/10 min job and if your dropping 10k on a 16 year old car and are serious about buying it and have money with you it's not an over the top request . Especially as they rot from the inside out

Tear out the seat be fooked, you dont want to be the fool and throw away good money, they can rot from the inside out,so checking the outside will only confirm half the condition buddy, tin worms a *****,best of luck
