Subaru Forester--AWD,cheaper on tax than others on list
Audi Allroad--Space,comfort and quattro for winter
Chrysler300--huge depreciation, so good buy
Hummer H3--Big and makes a statement
Lexus RX400h-- Luxury,easy to drive.

I would avoid BMW as they have turbo and gearbox issues aside from flaps.
Big Audis also a nono if you drive country roads. Too many briars will scratch the sh%t out of the paint. The same can be said for all big cars really. Happy hunting.

None of the BMWs have turbos....

Correct i was in daysul mode.

I would be going for 740i Myself if tax is not an issue. You live only once and you cant beat a BMW V8 in huge Luxobarge.

Buy this for 2.4k eu Use the rest to pay tax, drugs, hookers, booze. That particular one is owned by one of the Boardsies. The car will be in great condition.

Its owned by fella on boards.ie and he looked after it as his own baby. If not even that car, look in e38 over the new shaped one. It will be a lot more reliable and a lot less electronics to go crap. The new ones early models 02/03 had horrible problems.

Just off the phone with insurance company and premium for BMW X5, Audi A6, and BMW 740i all come out as same as Impreza i.e no change to what Im currently paying which is €1100 full comp.

Interestingly when I gave the reg plate of that silver 740i they do not have that car on their system. I found that odd.

You can talk to him directly on boards.ie m8. His name there is Matt Simis. Will give you more details on the car etc. My skyline would not show up as well on their system, so its not that rare m8.

Not a bother. Even if you not going with that e38, I would still go with e38. The prices of those things felt to stupid levels. A lot of car for the price. If I would not be in crap position work wise, I would love to get one myself just for summer.

Yeah spot on I was very close to buying one....just too big for the roads around were i live.

1800 to tax!!.. ouch

extortionate tax but what can you do huh. The savings I make on petrol will cover it. I honest cover about only about 50 miles a week.

You pay a lot less for car, but you pay more in tax. It evens out, but you drive a lot nicer car. I personally think its better to pay 2.5k for a LOVELY ship like 740i and pay 1800 tax, then buying some Mondeo for 5k and paying 800eu tax on it.

Someone mentioned Lexus RX .
But most of all Subaru Tribeca . Flat 6 and My favourite interior ever!

I test drove a Tribeca and it was pure luxury but handled like a boat.

Push the budget out you may as well...These things are animals..can be easily mapped to 550hp with any fuss...such a bargain now..not sure about the wrap

These would top my hyper barge list. I know the M5 handles better etc but really all you won't in a big fast saloon is savage performance , some comfort and grip. I had a spin in a one and farkin hell it was fast..would leave an E39 M5 in its dust
