New Car Options, what would you buy?

Mondeo definitely a good buy. We have an S Max 2.0 tdci from almost new and it has 281000 kms on it now .Never had to do anything with it except cam belt and routine servicing. No shocks, drive boots, wishbones, droplinks, wheelbearings, turbo, dual mass flywheel or anything really went.So touch wood it'll keep going for another while, there's a fair bit of tax left on it.

Wont go wrong with Mondeo. Had two in last hatchbacks in last 4 years Massive boot and very economical. Changed to a 2012 focus last year but small boot and looking at going back to mondeo in 2014.Only issue was fuel filter blocked at 60000 kms. Car went into safety mode. Ford garage should have changed same at 50k service. Apart from that would recommend . Had driven diesel Passat prev but would not be in same league as mondeo for econmy or comfort.

never mind the mondeo get a nice x type jag like my one...exact same engine as the diesel mondeo......
the mondeo is comfy but the jag is ultra comfy

this is the same as my one
2.0 turbo diesel (ford engine)
cream leather interior
great car on the road 45-50mpg
probably get a 08-09 one for 9-10k

the x type was built off of the old 2001 shape mondeo and compared to the new 2008- mondeo its scrap tbh horrible transit engines and noisey Delphi injection system I wouldn't recommend either old mondeo or x type sorry johnny :545:
