i dont be on that much since i sold the type r as felt a bit of a fraud on a subarus owners club with a diesel bmw lol. the diesel is gone and back into a turbo 4x4 but its a ford !!! bought a escort cosworth this week and delighted with it. its a small turbo, imperial blue with 69k on the clock. 18" engells and pretty much standard but thtas the way i wanted one. i also went a bit shopping crazy and bought a fully restored gsi cavalier in the uk. its here but not collecting it until sunday so will add pic's then. i will post a link for anyone who's into restorations. http://www.mk3oc.com/forum/showthread.php?47767-Ronnie-s-New-Family-Car-Cavalier-GSI-)/page34 i would add pic's off cosworth but dont seem to be able to add them as not a full member anymore. if someone sends me email addy they mite stick them up for me. cheers

Two very nice cars you bought yourself. Best of luck with them. Cosworth is very very nice.

a huge thanks to scooby1wrx for his effort to get the pic's sorted, cheers mate. thanks for all the comments lads. its great the weather being so nice as get to drive a few miles before the winter sets in and the car heads away to storage lol

@ sligo dave, ive been looking on and off for last 3 years for a clean one and its just the usual rubbish out there. i actually bought this cav without even looking at it. i just rang ronnie up and said i will have a lad over in few days in a truck to collect it and he will have the cash for ya do we have a deal. all went well anyways and think im safe enough after seeing the rebuild through the restoration on the various vauxhall forums he is on. ive had 5 offers already for the car and one was 2k over what i paid !!! :cuckoo:

At least you wont lose money on it!! Yeah, just having a look over the thread on the site you linked and he seems to be a bit of an enthusiast so id say its probable better than the day it rolled out of the vauxhall factory. :icon_omg:

Id love another one. Dunno if you know my old one, silver 91dl reg. Had it for bout a year when i was living in collooney. be about 3 years ago now.

@ sligo dave, cheers mate but back to work tomorrow nite after being off for 6 weeks on honeymoon leave officially lol. i would pm ya but never renewed my membership this year so cant send msg's.

i do know it, they are one car i have always kept an eye out for plus im from collooney originally myself. sligo and donegal the gsi will always live on i think

Yeah the northwest seems to love them. One day ill hopefully have one again. Not the cheapest to run but it could be the more economical runner and keep the sti for the weekends.

oh it wud def be i bit less thirsty alright but the sti's purr, speed and handling will draw ya back every time lol
