New Forester Owner

Hi,
My name is David, I'm from Tallaght.
Just bought a 99 Forester the other day. I've owned and driven alot of different cars but this is my first Subaru.
I bought the Forester because I like the shape and the size of the car, the pillarless doors are nice too.
If this car works out for me I am looking at importing an STI Forester in the next year.
One quick question about this site, just from having a quick look around is the site mainly an impreza focused forum or am i missing something?

No be impreza legacy and foresters.

Some current owners of imprezas have also been forester owners prior.
 
Hi Dave More imprezas in the club alright however subaru models are very similar to each other.
Don't be worried this is the best place for info and a great bunch of lads to boot..

welcome along david :thumbsup: :thumbsup: there are a few forester owners here and legacy owners and the rest are :hairdresser: :icon_grin: :icon_grin: but you wont go far wrong here regards info.

Took a few pics yesterday after the first of a few bits done.

HID's installed
1st part of Major service done (Plugs, Fuel Filter and oil)
STi New Age intercooler to be fitted maybe tonight before i take pics
HKS SSQV
HKS Downpipe to be fitted and Cat back S/Steel exhaust to be fitted
Defi boost Gauge fitted
On the hunt for a turbo timer (with Harness)
 
Thanks lads, if I get some sort of a decent day the new age inter cooler is going on tomorrow and maybe the exhaust. I'll take pics and pout them all up together.
Also on the hunt for apexi avcr I will travel to most places for the right price and kit!

Why would you want to install a AVC-R in it?

To adjust the boost slightly.. She's blowing 7 psi at the moment and that's with a crappy air filter with bad piping, actually after installing the new age tmic she's a little more like 8 or nearly 9, I've done a compression test on the engine and it seems fairly healthy, i was thinking of adjusting the boost to maybe 1 bar ( 14 psi ) after I do a downpipe and exhaust and replace the induction shite that's on it
