hi all just joined site so will be looking for info and a few parts and advice along the way, i just got myself a 97 sti ra (ver 3 im told) only have it a week and will only be driving it for another 5-6 days then she going into the garage to get stripted out and full custom cage going in and a few other bits, plan is to be out in the galway int rally first weekend in feb so fingers crossed, theirs a standard exhaust so that needs to go and looking for a straight through exhaust, the interoir is ment to be going to donegal in exchange for a prodrive ecu for the ver 3 but not sure if this a good or bad idea so comments welcome on that please, also their is a slight whine from rear diff whats the handy fix for this as funds getting tight at the min after getting all the stuff for the rallycar, going to run on standard shocks and springs for galway as they seem to be ok for the jod nice and solid and car handles well on them going to go to coilovers in a month or two, will try get up a few pics 2mor when i get her washed as she been down a few backroads the last few days , anyway thats a breefe update on me and me ra so all advice and comments welcome along the way cheers rusty

Welcome. You will have your work cut out for it to be ready for the Inter. Some long nites ahead i'd say. Best of luck with her

Welcome to the club man.

I'll be corrected on this if I'm wrong but as the typeRA is a JDM car it will not be compatible with the prodrive ECU your thinking or looking at. Their are pins that won't marry up. I know of one lad that can mod it to fit but he's in England.

The fitting of a full system will mean that you have to get the car mapped for it to run safe and get the best result from your car. I don't think you can do that with a version 3 ECU so you'll be looking at Apexi or Simtek I think.

PM the traders on here that deal with mapping and they'll advise you best. :subaru:

Best of luck.
