right finaly made the burst to start stripping the car last night had some fun with the dash tho a lot of wires lol also if anyone knows what the homemade light thing is in the picture of the the clocks let me know theirs a plug on it and its connected to the wires for the waterspray taught it might be some kind of rev limiter ???? anyway a few pics

A knock link displays knock levels in your cylinders and lets you know if your getting bad detination or pre detination which can lead to a melted piston,
it is connected to a knock sensor which is on the top of your engine, that is basicaly like a little microphone that listens to the engine,
i think thats it anyway, there is the led type like the one you have or you can get a more expensive one with a digital read out,
someone else might be able to shed more light on it for ye :thumbsup:
 
right got a bit of work done on fri and my welder not back till monday morning so hopefully all cage will be in that eve we have only tacked in the back half as most of the bars had to be reshaped or altered slightly that is one thing i dont like about custom cages you pay for profiled ends and when you get the cage the bars still need to be cut as they will not fit we had same prob with my last bmw e30 m3 rallycar anyway rant over frw pics of what we got done

oh and before any smart ass says the bar thats behind where the seats go is not right looking we have it left that way to keep the main hoop pushed out to the pillers of the car lol lol
 
right we getting their slowly but on the home straight now cage fully in now and seat bars so next step rub down all the inside with scotch pads and an old lick of paint on thurs-fri eve all going to plan few new pics of cage

well car is nearly bac together thank god but something not 110% we left of the spedo as will be no need for it and went for a spin down the roadcar would not rev over 3500rpm spent a few hrs trying to find the prob, then along comes brian for a look to see the car , after a few min westuck in the spedo and of we go again and hey presto prob solved !!!!!! well so i taught went for a spin again this morning car fine and went to go down the road with one of the lads this eve and simular prob on the way back kinda engine light came on and revs slow to come down but it taking the revs fine !!!!!!!! so anyone know where we start to look ?????

on the second thing wondering if i use 18" wheels do they make a lot of diff to the car as in do they hold it back much ???? and anyone selling 18" 5x100 as i can get a lot of 18" second hand rally tires ???

i hope to get a few pics taken 2mor of the car now and will stick them up 2mor eve
