Well lads been lurkin round here the last year or so under a different profile name but couldn't get back on so started a fresh one and said I'd introduce myself and my recent purchase.
After about a year and a half of searchin I got my hands on a fairly nice 2005 sti wide track. Had my mate Shane's head wrecked quizzing him over different things over the last year and after seen his widetrack I was fairly dead set on gettin one.
Long story short she has 88k miles on it with more or less a full service history. I bought it off a chap who had it for a year and he bought it off his uncle who had it for 9 year before that. It's more or less standard except for a set of kyb ultra Sr shocks and a fairly shite cat back exhaust and a set of inovite wheels! She got a timin belt, water pump and new rad in the last few weeks aswell.
Since gettin it I have got a few bits for it, I ordered up a full 3" stainless system for it, pipercross panel filter, Mac 3 port boost solenoid, walbro 225, Perrin wing stabilizers.
I gave her a full service with motul 300v which I got from the chap in Subarupart.i.e. Got new diff oil, coolant, gearbox oil, motul 600 brake fluid and ngk iridium plugs. It should of been vrt'd last week but I made a balls of the paper work so she's booked in for this Friday.
I sent it up to the lads in MSD last week for a full spec Clifford and a tracker for the peace of mind aswell which I'm pretty happy with.
Have it goin up to Dave in Rsr there on the 27th to get mapped by the chap comin over from Race dynamix in the uk, so hopefully there's a bit more of a bang out of it! And last but not least I had a full paint and headlight restoration and interior valet by Tom Lacey in Portlaoise, turned out very nice! Had her down at the festival of speed in Gowran yesterday and got a nice few compliments off lads lookin at it! Lookin forward to goin to a few more shows and meetin up with a few more like minded Subaru lads!
