As rumored, Subaru will unveil its all-new 2012 Impreza sedan at the New York Auto Show. Partially revealed with a profile photo, Subaru promises its new compact sedan will be the most fuel efficient all-wheel drive vehicle available in North America, with a 36-mpg rating.

Subaru has said it will showcase both the four-door sedan version of the Impreza as well as a 5-door hatchback.

What isn’t clear is if the new Impreza’s 36-mpg rating is a highway rating or average fuel economy.

While the profile picture doesn’t give an in-dept look at the car, it’s easy to see that Subaru has toned down the dramatic styling of the concept, which was unveiled at the LA Auto Show last year..

The king is dead, long live the king :icon_cry:

Perhaps a little inappropriate but CMcR and RB would be turning in their grave.

Is there any good looking cars any more? and I don't mean mid engined supercars...the Focus RS looks OK but a bit 90's...the Evo X looks horrible in the flesh the front looks like it came from another car...Impreza's where never good looking cars really..they weren't as off putting as the new ones but I don't they ever really sold on looks.
They are selling better than ever now in the states, that's the only market they care about now, the European market never made a lot of money for them and new STI's are such a rare site now.

it is not even an original design...it seriously looks like badge engineered avensis...look at that strange looking two-section front side window, both doors, general line...peculiar marketing policy- toyota must be calling the shots...
