New to Subaru maby ?

Hi Guys and Girls im new here and im interested in getting myself a Subaru I never had a Subaru before I have mainly have VW and Audi but my last car was BMW.
Can anybody give me advice on the legacy diesel im interested in the 08-09 model.
Any particular things to look out for ?
I have noticed that resale value is very poor
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Resale value is poor because the engines are poor and let go all the time in the diesels.

Especially 08/09 cars,
 
Know of a 10 one with a broken crankshaft if you have any interest price will prob be right.
 
I see a few on done deal and they've got up around 150-200k kms on them.
Are they just the lucky few? or would these have been well looked after in terms of being serviced?

I did see someone selling one from Mayo a while back and he was after putting in a brand new engine from Subaru into it.....
