I'm on the hunt for a large tv at the moment.Main use will be normal tv crap but most importanly I want something super to watch porn with a couple cans of dutch gold films.
Whats your recommendation for big tv,plasma, full HD,high Htz and any thing else I might need !
No need for 3D
Budget is 1k but less is better

think if you go samsung you cant go wrong pete , i got a 42 inch lcd last year for less than 600 with the stand thrown in , power city is always cheapest in my own experience , always better than harvey normans etc

I have a 42" philips here
Full hd plasma
got it 2 year ago for 600 notes
Would recommend it to anyone
Great tv

I wouldn't go too big Pete. Ya need a big room for a big tele! I was in a house with a 50inch plasma in a small room one day and i thought it hard to get the proper picture coz of been to close to the screen. Maybe thats just me though!!! :dontknow:

what tommy555 said
samsung are up there with the best at the mo when it comes to tv's, most other brands use samgsung parts. panasonic is the rolls royce but has the price tag to match.
always find powercity good to deal/bargin with

have a 46" samsung led tv and its amazing!!!
big recommendation but it was a birthday pressie so dont know what cost it was!!!

i have 2 full hd Panasonic viera's and they are unreal.

I think they have a full hd 42 panasonic in Harvey normans for 899.

I'd price pixmania as well for telly's Pete they can be very good price wise at times

I got a 42" LG lCD 1080p RGB port, 4 hdmi....379 sterling..sure you can get the same value in Euro's in Currys....you don't need any bigger unless your sitting miles away from it

just make sure whichever tele you get that it is mpeg4 and5 compatible for saorview

saw a nice sony yesterday.wifi and can take a usb key too. also make sure it has a few hdmi ports as well.

LED is best availabe at the moment for picture quality. You may be able to get a 42" samsung led now for less than a grand, haven't priced them recently though.

Bought myself a 46" samsung series 5 rev C around June this year when it was just released for €780 with a stand, great tv.. The new version of the series 6 is better again but there was quite a big price difference when i was looking.

The wifi would be great, i saw on the blurb you can watch youtube on your tv. That would be class.
