Could someone explain why you see HD Ready and Full HD in some adds? Whats the difference?

Hd ready means that it has hdmi connections for blueray player, sky hd box etc

Full hd means that you can view rte1&2 tv3 tg4 rte news & 3e digital without an external set top box
 
for a 50inch telly would you not need a big room unless the picture wouldnt be good. id prob go for the samsung, sony bravia or the panisonic veira if i was getting a new tv.
