Hey guys, I'm a first time Subaru owner and liking it so far. I'm very impressed by the car, hopefully it will serve me well.

I have a couple of questions about it that I hope some of you can help me with. I recently read the DTC via the dash using the headlamp switch and trip switch combo method... I have an error code C0109 which indicates that the voltage going to the ABSCM (ABS control module??) is out of the range 10-15v, yet I do not see any warning lights for ABS on the dash. Does anyone know anything about this? I'll hopefully break out the multimeter at the weekend and verify as much as I can with that. Hopefully if it is a valid problem, it may just be dirty contacts or similar.

Now the other thing is I a problem with power and it seems to be only once the car is fully heated up... and it only seems to be on medium throttle. The car performs fine when it's warming up and then once warmed up it seems intermittent. The syptoms are that the power lags when accelerating at a normal (meduim) rate... if I give it more throttle, the hesitation will persist for a second or two and then it will overcome it and accelerate accordingly. This is quite annoying.. The garage I purchased the car from is sending a new set of spark plugs to see if that will recitify the problem, but my spider senses tell me that's not going to solve it. What's you opinions on this?

Thanks in advance for any info.

And the obligatory photo... :)

Welcome Rory...

Could be plugs or a dodgy HT lead... I'd a similar probelm with my WRX and it was re-solved by swapping out the leads.

Hope you get the other issues resolved... someone on here ought to be able to help you out! :subaru:

Welcome Rory

the problem with hesitation is well know on the 2.0n/a engine , had the same problem on my previous n/a impreza , basically its was a factory map error which most subaru dealers could rectify with an updated/reflash map , was just a simple plug in and press few buttons on the lap top and up plug it ,

Hi there, I have the same issue in my 2006 Legacy 2.0 petrol, did you get it resolved by re-mapping and how much is it at the dealer?

It's more of a software upgrade rather than a re-map, but to answer your question I paid about €55 to get mine done.
