Newage WRX wanted

Hi All,

I recently sold my car, so am in the market for a set of wheels.

Need to double check insurance as has been a while, but I am old (40+) and clean license and full NCB. Last time I checked it was reasonable enough, ?1k ish. Not cheap but can manage that.

Budget won't stretch to a Sti, so a WRX it is. Am cool if it is standard or has a few mods. NCT would be a must though for insurance reasons. Ideally a blob or hawk, but would not rule out a good bug either.

Budget is around the ?5.5k mark, ideally less, so I have a few bucks left for bits and bobs. I know this is not great, but would be hoping it should get one, based of what I see on Donedeal prices the last while, etc. If you think I am mad on the budget, please let me know so can give up on the idea and move on to something else.

That black one you sent me the last day looked good man. There's a nice bug in Clare also man for a good price.

I loved the E60... when it worked! [emoji23] It was such a poxy car breaking so often tbh.

To compare, my wrx has had lot less issues and was much easier to troubleshoot as well.

Sorry had to put this project on hold there for a while, but back in the search now. So if anyone knows anything or hears of anything please let me know.

That Bug Sti seems to be gone. Would have been worth a look I reckon.

Cheers man. That car has had an interesting enough recent history. Was for sale up in the Northern tip of Donegal for ?4650. I was waiting to get my car sold when it was up for sale so did not get up to view it. Then, once when I had my money, it was gone, typical.

A while later I saw it on Facebook as current owner had won it in one of those on line competitions. 6 days later it is on Donedeal. I messaged him there and he is looking for ?6.5k so puts it out of my budget.

Hi all, just an update. I have a sale agreed for a 2005 Blobeye WRX, hoping to collect in the next few days. Plan to be more active here now that I have a Subaru finally. Will set up a thread and throw a few pics up once I have it.

And one major thing you forgot.... Full membership. No point having a Subaru if not a full member of ISDC ????????

Does membership run from Jan to Dec or from 12 months on the day you pay?
 
From day of purchase, a year from then we'd say..
