Hi lads i am ryan from cork am in the market after three years of saving for a sti blob or possibly hawkeye i was told only to buy from a isdc member so hear i am all my friends have evos and swear by them not for me always prefered the impreza so looking for some info really on the best buy jdm spec sti type uk any info on buying the right unabused car and this engine horror i keep hearing about is bothering me can some one clear this up for me

New STi although can have failures is not anywhere near as common as classics.

2.5 hawk has big issues with head gasket failures.

So would say stay with 2.0L.

And pref JDM is better car. But getting harder to find

Definitely go for a twin scroll jdm if you can, you're just after missing a couple. Keep an eye on the for sale section and if you need any advice on a car, just stick up a thread in the technical q&a section :thumbsup:
