newbie need your help

Hi lads, I just join the forum and I already have some questions. :angry1: Yesterday my 00 , B4 didn`t want to move foreward, only in reverse, was the second time when happened but first time I left the gearstick in D (by the way, it`s a tiptronik gearbox)and after few minutes car start to move , but this time I wasn`t so lucky. I spoke with some mechanics and they told me that is a gearbox oil or filter issue. I changed oil and filter, but now another problem appear. From 1st gear goes straight in 4th, and to move the car you need high rpm`s. Can anyone tell me what can be the problem, because it seems that my mechanic doesn`t have a good knowledge of this type of gearbox. Thanks in advance

assuming you changed the oil in the box correctly,the problem could be electronic!!!!!
sounds like a pressure problem!!!
usually the cheapest option is to change the oil and see if any improvement is made but i would guess the box needs a recon!!!!
hopefully someone has better knowledge of subarus than me !!!

You should contact Ciaran RS-RA on the site here (ASD Automotive in the traders section)... Comes highly recommended... He'll sort the problem for you and if the gearbox is knackered then he has a mate that reconditions auto boxes for places all over the country as well :thumbsup:

I've had mysterious issues with scooby autos before also,
All I can say is, it will be worth it when you get her sorted,
You are luck to have found this club while you have your problem, the traders on here will sort your problem, and if one can't, then another one will!
As above I know Ciaran RS-RA and Davelegacy both have alot of experiance in B4's!
