sorry to butt in but would it be advisable to put in a little octane booster for track day , or would it have any benifets ??

Yeah definitely for piece of mind..if your car is mapped you won't see any benefits power wise but will help eliminate knock. If you car is not mapped half bottle should see a few more horse power especially on a JDM car.
 
Yes, it would be ross... The extra stress and heat build up in the car can cause oil fumes to lower the octane of the petrol and thus start the engine detonating... A little more than you're mapped foror a little anyway if you are not mapped would be a good idea to help protect the car :thumbsup:

I double dose on NF for track time! just for safety!
