NF ultra race fuel mix

As far as I was aware,
NF race formula octane booster, the stuff in the black bottle has the same/silimar affect
I use a third of a bottle, (100ml) in a fill of 99ron E5 to make it about 101ron (2 ron extra)
So if I used a full bottle, that would be about 6 ron extra per approx 50L petrol
Roughly
I wonder is there more to the ultra race fuel than just the octane rating!
Dan

Is it just the octane that matters??
Could there be something else in it to make it potent??
Dan

Octane is not an ingredient its a rating ... so it doesn't matter what's in it its the measure of its resistance to knock(taken from rON rating)..anything from petrol to alcohol(ethanol) can have an Octane rating...booster additives usually contain chemical to help coat the cylinders to reduce knock rather than adding some kind of explosive type reactant to the mix, this is why they can react different in different cars depending on compression etc.

The NF Ultra is new and stronger than the NF Race. It can also be used at much higher concentrations depending on the octane increase you require.
The NF Ultra can give you up to a 10RON increase if you add 1 tin to 20 litres of fuel. It is not available in the UK yet, but will be soon.

The NF Race can be used up to a maximum dosage of 5ml NF Race per litre of fuel. To get an idea of the increases you can achieve with NF Race in different fuels, have a look at this graph:

You can, and do, get good octane increases from bottled octane boosters. Here is a laboratory certificate from a proper octane test for NF Sport Octane booster (1 down from the top of the range NF Race) showing an octane increase of 4 octane when added to 95RON. That's a decent increase if you ask me. If you add a bottle of NF to 92/93 octane pump fuel, you will achieve the advertised octane increase.

The NF Ultra is a different product altogether and shows great gains in lab testing. Here is the lab certificate adding a tin of NF Ultra to 40 liters of 95 pump fuel:

I hope this info is useful. I thought I'd just pop in and clear up a few questions you guys have.

I got mapped by Simon for E5 on its own, when we got back i added around 140mls of NF and topped up with E5 for the second map, all fuel was from the same service station, i think Simon said that he could advance the timing by 6 or 7 deg, i think that shows that it does work :icon_headbang:

Great info!
It would be great if you had switchable maps, 2 and a half bottles per tank for maximum RON for one map and standard fuel for the other!
