NGK Plugs

Whats the difference between these NGK plugs:

NGK PFR6B
NGK PFR7B

I want to fit new plugs to my '00 WRX. Lots of fellas here are using the 7B's but NGK recommend 6B's on their site.

6B are the standard plug and 7b is a step colder more for mapped cars. But you can use 7 in either.

Is there any advantage to using the 7's in an unmapped car?

Not really.

If she's a standard WRX, the PFR6B's will be perfect.

I reckon they are better on 7b but most would say standard car is fine on 6b.

Can't see what you'd gain by going to the 7b's though.

I'd imagine that the 6b's are more readily available in Subaru garages etc, so should be easier to source and cheaper., hence why I'd choose the 6b's.

Doesn't matter either way. Would make a difference if you had a modified, but put in 6b's?

Yeah no gain I just always used 7b, 6b is what is suggested for standard car. But they should be about the same price or 5 or 10 euro differance.
