Subaru declared that soon will appear most powerful serial versions Impreza for all history of existence of this model. It is a question about Impreza WRX STI which will be prepared together with British company Cosworth.

New super car will start to be equipped 2,5-litre opposed turbo engine which gives out at once 400 h.p. (for this reason model CS400 will be called). Certainly, besides the engine English engineers will finish a suspender, final system, brakes. And still the car should receive a new aerodynamic weather-cloth.

According to representatives of the Japanese company, Impreza from Cosworth will be dispersed to 100 km/h for 3,7 sec only. For comparison, standard Impreza WRX STI with the 300-strong motor carries out this exercise for 5,2 sec. And the prize in 1,5 sec in the given class is very serious advantage. In total it will be constructed only 75 unique Impreza WRX CS400.

So is this an official subaru then??
Not unofficial like the litchfield type25

It's kind of a shame that they didn't hook up with Litchfield so they could build on the popularity of the Type 25
But I suppose subaru want to take some credit for themselves,
Looking forward to seeing what turbo they will use!
I'm I right in saying they the 2.5 cosworth engine is based on a standard EJ257 semi closed deck block, not a closed deck or linered??
Either way, it'll be nice to have an official scooby to beat the bo11ix out of the official FQ400
I hope they put the RA-R f6/r4pot brembo calipers on this one!

Subaru also reports that the Cosworth Subaru Impreza STI CS400 will feature a bespoke brake package – with six-pot callipers and 355mm discs at the front – developed in partnership with AP Racing, giving the car prodigious stopping power. Coventry-based AP Racing is a leading supplier of brake and clutch components to teams in the Formula One Championship and the World Rally Championship, as well as to leading supercar brands including Bugatti.
