hi
I bought my sti 6 months ago at the garage in Clonroche N30 road
Sales man claimed no engine problems ever.

Car was clean and great to drive... :dance:

First cold start shown that there is tapping sound for 30 s after start
and after 4 weeks, driving home I stopped at red and saw the steam :/ rad gone :( week later with new rad car was running again but overheating while acceleration
ok head gasket :(

I decided to rebuild engine
What was our surprise when we saw that the engine block has different bolt pattern than gearbox

I think boys at the garage did great job and great money!
they have put cheapest block into broken sti, hid bolt holes with shorter bolts and silicone and job's done.
INSPECTION WELCOME! *****rs :angry1:

anyway :subaru:
new engine is ready
hope proper one this time

need 6speed box at the moment

welcome along , sorry to hear your problems with the car but some great traders here that know the scooby scene inside out and wont steer ya wrong .

petty u got stung tho as i did once or twice with cowboy salesmen. :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

nice car on the good side and now you know what the motors like :subaru:
