Nissan 180 SX / Sylvia

Lads this car is mapped for 99 octane fuel

would i need to get it mapped over here for E5 or would it be the same???

itd be much the same if you added booster id say, :dontknow: youd want to anyway to get full performance id say?

some spec on it paul, bagsy a spin if you get it!

Lovely car that. There not many cars that I say I'd love to own that but I have to say if I had to give up Subaru because they failed to excist I'd be happy with the looks and spec of that car. Doesn't look cheap at all. Very Very nice.

Thanks Eric i think it looks sweeeet too
the only thing is tho im not very mechanicly minded
so am i taking on a bit to much buy a car tuned to this level???

the fella sellin it seems like a honest enough lad...
this is one of the email i sent him

What petrol is it mapped for??
and just one other thing im not very mechanicly minded (AT ALL)
would i be able to live with this sort of car once i looked after it
and kept well serviced?? or would i have to be good with a spanner? (because im not)

and this was his reply.

Ok mate.

Its mapped for 99 octane fuel.

You would either need to be very mechaincaly minded, or have someone you can trust to help you keep an eye on it all with you. Its not a complex car, but when cars get to this level of tune, the smallest issue could cause a large problem if it wasnt nipped in the bud in time.

so wat do ya think would i be in over buying this?
or do ya think it would prob be OK once i get it looked after the right people :ponder2: :ponder: :dontknow:

Do you know anyone in the drift circles (pardon the pun) ? the power is a big lure Paul, fair play on thinking about it, i would have jumped in with both feet. getting home from London should be very easy too. would you be driving it home or on a trailer?

Going to drive it home (well not me a mate)
The plan is me and three mates are going fly over to Luton on saturday mornin and meet up with the lad and buy the car
then drive towards hollyhead and stop about half way and grab a hotel and go out on the :icon_pidu: for the night
and then the next morin head down and get the boat.

I dont really know anybody in the circles but i might jump onto tourqe irl there into all that crack
and should be able to point me in the right direction
as for me thinking about it, i must be gettin a bit old or somethin :wall: because thats just not like me...

Dan Forrester STi would know lads that could look after her for you. I'd say she'd belike anything else though. Service regular and do not over work. Cool down and warm up to.

Cann't see how she'd go to wrong. She is only built after all.

Best of luck with her what ever you decide.

Good luck with the purchase Paul if you decided to go for it. At least the seller was very honest with you about taking care of it.

They do not have a lot of back seat room. Hope you and your friends are small...!!!

I don't know, going down the high spec modded route could be an awful pain in the ass if/once things go wrong. Plenty to go wrong with a high powered turbo car.

Personally I'd buy a spotless original one and forget about fancy modified ones. Better to live with as an everyday car, and a lot easier on the pocket.

A standard S14a is a gorgeous car with no lack of power.

My motto is always do the opposite to what Yogi says and you cant go wrong :icon_nana:
[/quote]

Ha ha ha... And I'd say things usually turn out well for you too...!!!

Think I'm getting a bit old and sensible now though, and going off the cars that are tweaked to the nines. Just not worth the hassle.

@ Yogi i know what your saying alright but its not going to be an everyday car just for track and the odd weeked

@ Keith i think i will get in touch RS-RA when i get it

@ Legy C shes seated alright

@ Eric te i think your right once shes Service regular and do not over worked it should be ok....

@AndyC Thanks, ye thats it he seems an honest enough lad

I was talking to him there about it for a half hou and he was tellin me all about it
he asks me have have i ever had a RWD car i tell him no just a few scoobys and the like
he says to me i dont scare you or ant thing but if you dont know how to drive it it could be a very dangrous car :new_puppy_dog_eyes:
then says his mate has a 580bhp r33 gtr and it is like a pussy cat comperd to this!!!
as in the 33 is so much more forgiving and the 200 just isnt....
he then say be very very careful in the wet and says it will wheel spin in 5th at 120 MPH :shock2:

So i have to say i am a little scared now!!

loads of good sr20 heads in Ireland with the drift scene..you could get the boost turned down and gradually turn it up..get it i want a shot!
