Not havin much luck in this snow

Really sorry to hear Eric, glad there is not too much damage. Hope fully no wishbone or wheel damage either

Stay safe lads, looks like there is a bit of a thaw on the way in Dublin, well until tonight anyway

Doesn't seem to be any. She's driving fine and I had a look and couldn't see any damage.

I've touched in the bumper and it looks fine now other then a small buckle at the top of the line where it impacted. Think I got away very lightly.

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully everyone else makes it through with out issue. I think we lost two cars last year to the big freeze.

I might have spoken to soon. I hit a poll at a t juction today. The car just wouldn't turn. The left hand side of the bumper took it head on. Doesn't seem to be anything more then a few marks on the bumper though. Don't know how I got away so lightly. Had a look behind and all but no damage. I think the wheel may have made contact with the path first and took most of the blow.

Fucking thought my bumper and head light where fucked and was half afraid to look.

Stay safe lads.

Ah sorry to hear Eric... glad to hear you got away with it as lightly as you did!

Such a sweet car... it would be such a shame had it been any worse.

Yeah I know Jamie. I've been driving around all week just saying to myself don't take chances as these bumpers cost a fortune. I swear y heart sank when I started heading for the pole. A well at least it didn't amount to much. As the misses said I might have broken a bigger cross with that tip. :dontknow:

If this is of any help to anyone, hope I'm not preaching to the enlightened. If there is any untrampled snow in the gutter and you have lost it on packed snow/ice heading towards a junction, get whatever wheels you can into the gutter and the packed/fresh snow, it will slow you down fairly quickly and safely but will put some drag on the wheel that is in the soft stuff, so be prepared with the steering.

Had a run in with the back of a car meself on thursday, came over campells bridge in finglas/cabra if any one knows
it. only to find a car crashed into the wall on the other side, saw it in plenty of time tryed everything but just slowly slid into him.
no damage to his car but my bumpers a bit rough :angry1:

Know it well. Sorry to hear that Keith and your bumper is an after market one. Can it be fixed?

Yeah id say so eric, ill leave till after x-mas to get it sorted. If it can be fixed that would be great, but if not i think ill look for one like yours.
