Well I finally took the plunge and bought my self a car.. after having a couple of convertible rentals last year and the fact the the car is strictly a weekend away car, I had my heart set on a soft top. Had a look at a lot of E46 M3 cabs but I just couldn't get my head around spending 12k on something that will do less than 2000 miles a year.
So I ended up finding a bargain 323i, It has only 66k miles full BMW service history MOTs, had the roof replaced..new tires and brakes...the guy had it in a under ground car park for the last 6 months and just wanted shot of it..I took a bit of a gamble as it had no tax and no MOT..not like Ireland, if you have no TAX or MOT they will take the car off you....but it passed the MOT yesterday with no Faults..only bad bit has a rip in the drivers side seat bolster.. apart from that it's mint...wouldn't pull snow off a rope but will do for cruising around.

Ah i know ..think I'm having a mid life crisis...wanna get the wind in my hair before it all falls out! The missus loves it I'll give it to her when I finally grow a pair and buy something with some muscle

In Camden, I can park on the street out side the house it's quiet, costs 162 a year but the robbin cnuts... that's on top of paying 1300 a year council tax.....it's joke but it takes 10 days to get the permit, the permit is limited to that car only and you don't even get temporary reprieve....so I had to pay someone to use their driveway for a few weeks...owning a car in London in a complete ball ache...but pubic transport in the summer makes ya wanna vomit with smell of hobbo's and sweaty animals so I'd just had enough

I think ya take for granted having 300 bhp and the torque...it has 170bhp but with BMW gearing and the weight of its not even worth trying to drive fast
