ogier signs with vw for 2012,2013

i heard ford are gone from wrc after not winning anything this year, thats why they havent signed anyone yet?

that would leave the wrc a bigger load of bollix than it has already become. thought there was gona be a bit of life brought back into the competition with dec's news

it was just a lad i was talking to, that is into rallying, he also said that the wrc is trying hard to keep ford in the wrc, as said above if they pull out its game over for the wrc.

i recon he was only putting 2 and 2 together as i cant find anything on the net about ford pulling out. but he did have a good point that malcom wilson said last year that ford had to win the wrc title this year or ford would put the money into something else and then also that they are holden off signing anyone until they get the go ahead of ford.
 
it would be very strange if ford pulled out.

surely with all the customers cars they run around the world and in WRC, they have the money to run two works cars next season :dontknow:
 
^^^^^^^dont think its as simple as that^^^^^^^^^^^^

sales of new cars down, actual revenue from car sales down, manufacuturing costs probably havent budged and may be dearer with price of oil etc..........running works cars is probably a luxury and a cost they could do without, i defo dont think people wont buy fords cos they not in WRC, but then WRC will be in the departure lounge if yet another team disappear over the horizon.
