Oil catch can

You need a 3 port catch can minimum for a Subaru and most are useless for anything other than under bonnet bling unfortunately .

That means it a 2 port.
You have 2 head breathers and a crankcase breather which the inlet on the can is probably too small for . What's the reason for fitting the can ?

Every one to their own, but i think catch can is a good idea, crankcase gasses and rocker gasses are hot burnt air with a lot of water/oil vapor in it, standard set up means these gasses are fed into the turbo inlet pipe to keep the emission people happy, catch can or cans will take the sludge and hot gas out of your inlet, its a no brainer as far as im concerened, you have 2 rocker outlets and a crank outlet, so fit a 3 port, not necessarily, they can be expensive so ive used 2 x 2 ports, one for rocker covers and one for the crank, much cheaper and more options for fitting space, vented to atmosphere, my inlet and IC has remained spotless since fitment, empty cans as needed, amazing the gunk that builds up, just my opinion.
Eric.

Have tried and tested them all and unless your going to spend decent money they are pointless and require to much maintaining ( emptying etc )
That d1 can is Mickey Mouse engine bling is all it do nothing for the car . Sorry if that comes across bad but it's the truth

I'm still using the 2ltr Coke bottle... Non baffled... And she is working a treat... Only cost I think €2.49...but that cost was offset by the the fact I got to drink the contents..

If we could organise a group buy it would work out cheaper to buy the twin packs.

Is there a return to sump option Ken ?
Obviously not with the coke in it lol

Might be best to ring them ken and in failing that got to obp direct and see about a group buy ? i can ring murrays and see about a group buy

Like the look of that baffled one Ken, have you seen them fitted or any pics of them fitted? Are seriously good quality? Count me as number 2 for a group buy if so.

i wouldnt spend big money on one.

go on aliexpress and buy a cheap one.

all it is is a catch can to let the gases condence and catch the gunk and let the air out. send the 2 head breathers into a t piece then to the can and the crank directly to the can and put a vent at the top with a filter.

ive got the head breathers going into the standard line under the intake mani, (that is t'd into one) then from there to can.
crank, i took off the line going to the intake pipe and ran that to the can. left the pcv to the intake mani(because i couldnt find a plug for it). then blocked off all the lines going into the intake pipe.

a can for each would work just as well but maybe not neccessary especially if space is tight

if you want baffles then just ram in a bit of steel wool it will esencially do the same job.

I haven't seen any in the flesh robbie, it was Paul Finch that highly recommended them to me as a very cost effective alternative to say the RCM can. Only problem can be mounting them to close to the bonnet, and bending the vent hose too sharply, this can build back pressure... You need to get the can as high as possible without this happening..
