Oil sump question

Fair balls to you for doing it. There's a lot of satisfaction in doing stuff that your nervous about and doing it anyway.
I've to change seals in my steering rack over next week or so(as soon as seals land)
Never done a rack before,so.......

Just back from a little half hour drive in the rs and found this on the ground where it was parked up,its one of the sump bolts, i must have over tightened it and it just let go..
I jacked up the car and no oil leaking,
Can anyone advise me what to do please

Nothing will be grand if not leaking
Once you didn’t over tighten all them it’s ok

I'll take it out some evening before Saturday and check it again afterwards..

If your sealers on the inner side of that bolt shouldn’t leak,
M6 bolt needs very little torque to be tight the loads spread across the total amount of them , a little nip of a 1/4” drive ratchet is enough for them

I didn't use any sealer I got a cork gasket so im guessing that should be alright

Maybe cork is cleaner than sealer but might need all the bolts but see how it goes if it’s not leaking it’s grand .
The other half of the bolt might be loose and twist out do you can put in another 1
