Looking at mad fine and 6 months jail if he's lucky.

Judge is stickler for speeding and handed out above sentences before. ( Google)

In saying that let off unemployed without fine as he would be unable to pay

That's what I was getting at Carlo. That judge throws the book at anyone with an income. If you've something to lose, he'll make sure you lose it. If you're broke, no tax, license, insurance and drunk, he doesn't give a balls because "you won't learn any lesson".
