oxygen sensor, b4 :-(

Petrolheads
Found out today my oxygen sensor on my b4 is f*cked :icon_cry: :sucks:
Don't have 400 this side of Xmas for a new one, any1 have a second hand one?? Cheers lads

no the LS's are not plug and play, they are a universal sensor so have no connector, you need to cut the wires on your OE sensor and splice the LS in, if you get me!

i have heard mixed reviews about them though!

i changed mine for a subaru fit direct replacement from, lambdasensor.com, send them an email and say what car you have and he will send you a link to the direct fit ones! they are hard to find on the site, i think it was £60, the LS's are £30ish i think

yeah man!

just worked out i fitted it about a year ago! and haven't had a problem yet! touch wood

its a super easy fit, all you need to do is take the battery out, follow the wire up from the sensor and remove the correct plug, and plug in the the new sensor! the hardest part of the job for me was getting the connector out :icon_biggrin: :hammerhead: the sensor will also come with a few mini zip ties so you can tie the cable to the body/other components (that don't get hot lol) as the cable is a few inch longer than the OE sensors

to find the sensor (not sure if you have had go) its just a case of passenger wheel off, arch liner off (3x10mm bolts and 2 clips) and i think thats it! you'll need a big open ended spanner too to get the sensor out, i used a big set of Stillson Grips as it can be quite hard to get out! years of heat and general corrosion

i also put a small (small being the key word) amount of copper grease on the new threads to ease future removal etc

We only recommend direct genuine Subaru replacement.

Others do not last from our experience.

Cheers Dave, I was down wit u yesterday, just looking for a quick replacement until d New year.

GOOSIE208, that lambda place won't deliver to d republic anymore, just NI. Cheers for d help dough man. Wat to do :ponder2:

Yes subaru genuine are the best but last time I looked on ICP I seem to remember they were £260 sterling I think

I could have bought 4 of mine for that, would a Subaru one last 4 times as long?

A friend of mine, his bro lives in Japan ;-) happy days, goin to get him to get me one after Xmas, and if cheap enough, buy 2 :icon_headbang:

I have a new genuine one which I believe is for your model. Do you have the part number of the one you need? If its the right one for your car it will be seriously discounted.
