p1 on donedeal

I'm not a big fan. Without the spoiler and interior aren't they just a normal Type R that has been stripped off some goodies? DCCD being one of them...?

That is seriously cheap, vrt alone on these thing is still over 6k if you bring one in from the UK
 
Very high mileage example! Other than being a low number UK edition... I wouldn't buy one coz of of lack of DCCD and other Type R bits! :snooty:
 
Apparantly Prodrive tried many different combinations of suspension set-ups before they got it the way they wanted and the car handled they way they wanted - I'd say that's why they removed DCCD - in their eyes they had it right so why would you change it?

In fairness how many people actually use DCCD - you usually put it at whatever setting you like and then leave well alone :thumbsup:

I think these are a bit over rated. Very ordinary looking Impreza. Orange tail lights, no tints, no DCCD. Type R for less money.
 
i think the reason it has no dccd is that they could not get it to work with the abs for the european market :thumbsup:

Jaysus Andy - are you trying to say that the P1 is ordinary looking in comparision to a TypeR :ponder2:
I would say they are nearly identical - tail lights/tints can easily be changed - and I think the rear spoiler and front splitter with the P1 fogs make the P1 stand out :thumbsup:

At the end of the day everyone has their own opinion but for me I'd take the P1 over the TypeR any day of the week, plus it's nice to have a limited edition :thumbsup:
Yes I agree they are more expensive than a TypeR but that's the way it is.....

@ JP - I forgot about the ABS - you could be right there :thumbsup:

Rang up about this when I was looking for new car,apparently the owner said he had bought it out of Carroll & Roache :dontknow: ,have to say I do like the P1's
 
theres something worrying about having such an expensive spoiler on the p1 !!!
dont think i'd sleep at night!!!
