Sound George  Very hard to know when someone is being sarcastic sometimes :D Maybe we should see if there's a icon for it :nana:

As Paulo said - if you notice traders selling please tell us... although it should be stopped now...

Alan.

George is talking about me posting items in the for sale section. The problem is George they arent my parts and I am not making money by selling them, They are belong to another MEMBER who does not log on or use the site as much as the rest of us and I offered to put them up for him. I did have my own exhaust and maybe a few other bits that came of MY own car which im fully entitled to put in the for sale section.

Hope that clears it for you.

thats grand so ill have plenty of parts to put up for sale off our project car. i was already clear on what was going on im just saying that it wouldnt look that way to others joining up. maybe thats why 555-scooby had a go at you as to somebody who didnt fully understand the workings of the club it would look like you have your fingers in all the pies :dunno:
which in my opinion is a fair assessment as thats how it looks without knowing the workings of the club.

George

Fair enough If he thought that the stuff I was selling in the for sale section was for proffit then I can understand. I should really set up a Street Performance user name for posting in my own section etc.

As far as Im aware you are free to post up whatever second hand parts that come off your car in the normal for sale section. As you are a member like most of us so I dont see why we cant take advantage of it to. As long as it doesnt sound like an advert with SP or GT plastered all over it im sure its fine.

"sarcasim"  the old "" usually donates Sarcasim

Sarcasm is very difficult to express on certain subjects in text form... You can't "hear" the tone it was written in so can be easily mis-interperated.
As I found out many a time when sending text messages...

Obviously every one is going to make some sort of profit by selling things on the site. used parts off our cars technically cost us nothing and we sell them for various prices which in my opinion is acceptable.

I think all traders on the site should display prices beside products they are selling. I could pay 100 for something and the next person pay 110 for the same thing if they are happy to pay it and nknow no better. Who knows if we are actually getting a 10% discount?

:noway: This is definitly not aimed at anyone as I have never bought from a trader on this site so I am not accusing anyone of doing that I am just saying it is possible to charge various prices to different people and still say they are getting the 10% members discount.

Obviously different traders have different ways of working and if some one is buying a lot at one time they might get a bigger discount but there should be guidline prices...

hi Shane,

i totally agree with you that thats the way it should be. however i am also thinking of removing prices from the site as i have found out that my prices are being undercut by others even if it means dropping below costs. i undercut other sellers also but would never :noway: go below cost just to get one over on another trader or just to keep the customer. for example:
the ultralight 3-piece pulley set that i sell at €210, i know i am the cheapest seller of those pulleys because i bought them straight from the manufacturer and also know who else buys from the manufacturer, a customer came to me and asked me whats the best i can do as his crank pulley was fucked and i said €210, ihe came back to me a couple weeks later with another problem and i noticed that he had a 3-piece pulley set on his car and i asked him where he got it and he said from another trader on this site for €200. undercutting me by €10 even though it was way below his cost.(i know his cost as he told me who he bought them from and for how much) so i am seriously thinking of removing all prices and just deal in pm's. if the other trader im mentioning is going to drop below cost all the time then its turning out to be a very costly hobby he has  as hes always saying this is just a hobby  its just like when a certain shop on the naas rd started up they sold everything out at cost and below just to get the customers in for the 1st 6mths and when they had the customer base gradually increased the prices. everybody in the high performance trade knows this and thats why that shop have very few friends in this game.

George

Here we go again. George ive no intrest in your products or the prices you sell them at. I dident think of you when I sold the pully kit or that I was selling them for less then you. I dident know how much you sold them for and wasent trying to get one up for you. I have my prices and thats it. Why dont you just do what you do mind your own business and ill do the same.

I told told you that.

A hobbie is something you do in your spare time. This was a hobbie until it started taking up as much time as my day job and sometimes more. Its not my sole income.

im not trying to start a fight or slagging match. am just answering Shane and giving the reasons why. this is a cut-throat game i know but selling way below cost to try force others out is acting the clown. i will undercut others to make a sale as long as im still going to make something on it. as said not having a go or trying to start anything here just telling the truth.

George

Maybe I did sell it cheap but it wasent to do with you in any way at all. I had no idea what you sold pullys at and Trevor never said he was with you or got a price from you. Im happy going along as I am and have no need or want to try force others out as you put it.

Ah George that must be just speculation unless you know something I dont

Not sure of the exact spec to be honest. At one stage I was going to keep it for the track alone but I keep changing my mind :wall:

I think all the hand bags should be put away now ladies :noway:.. seriously thought this is going off the point here..
