p1 turbo

how many extra members have signed up since you relaunched this site compared to say the previous year or two before hand
 
As said before if NON-MEMBERS enjoy the same benifits as Members THEN PEOPLE WILL NOT JOIN....


Hence their will be NO Subaru Club and NO website..............

this is what it is all about for anybody who can get it ,its simple

i think its obvious you feel like we are picking on you, but i assure we are not, we have the whole club in mind when we do things. there are quite a lot of posts and members you do not get to see because they are deleted quickly. all this is to try cut down and even maybe stop the spam.

could you imagine life, if every method of doing something you tried worked first time? life would be pretty pointless wouldn't it? what lessons could we learn, we wouldn't be able to move forward and learn to overcome. i don't see this as something bad for the club, more of a hiccup in the path to a more successful club that works in benefit to non-members and full-members. as stated before this will all be reviewed next month and we knew before this all happened, i believe that should of been stated at the start, then it would of probably stop a bit of this but hey, here we are now.
i apologies for any discomfort this hole argument may of caused you Gerry and to all who may be loosing faith in the club because of this (and if im talking too much :oops:) but please understand that we are all human, and we do make mistakes, but i don't really see this as a mistake, more of the result of an experiment!

(this is all my opinion)

My point is that because the site is so well run it has attracted new members.....and nobody can deny this....how many joined up sunday..........7?
 
well then them 7? must be stupid because they just waisted 50 euro like myself
 
norris i suppose your right pal, i do take things to heart too much sometimes and thinkiing about it i can see the overall picture of why you (the club) dont want just anyone posting up with things for sale its my fault really i should of just gone to ebay i just thought give the lads and lasses on here 1st digs rather than joe public anyway gonna forget about it all now and put it on ebay!!! should make good money  :) :)

so lets forget about it all now and carry on as normal.

your so so wrong dave read before you type pal and that is meant in the nicest possible way, get over it i have. just let the sponsors and full members put things up for sale i aint bothered i will still use the forum i just wont post in the wanted section or the for sale section simple as . now put your dummy back in pal :) :) :)

I dont look at the for sale section as competition and have always kept my role in the club and as a sponser seperete. In fact im one of the people who is out trying to get other performance car suppliers to take out a section on the site which if I was as ruthless as you seem to think I wouldent do. And once again it was the members who are asking for alot of the changes NOT ME. Its disapointing when im accused of being behind this in a scheme to wipe out any competion there might be, Its clear you dont know me or the club very well at all if you think myself or the rest of the club or committee would take part in anything like that.

THIS THREAD HAS BECOME RIDICULES.

This is a Club for Subaru Drivers no matter where they're from - In fact we have many paid up members from the Uk and even further afield.

@ Gerry - we had an 'extra' 7 people join - is that bad  :ponder: - to me it's progression  :dunno:
You were just unlucky that you were the first to try and post something for sale after the changes... just out on interest and seeing as you reside in the UK - are you a member of ScoobyNet or SIDC? You will find that they have pretty similar rules....

And as for 'certain sellers' - WTF is that all about  :dunno: They pay a premium to advertise and sell on the site as all sponsors do on ANY forum   :ponder: And we as a club try and attract as many suppliers as possible as that creates better discounts for our members....

Now hopefully we can keep this as civil and on topic  :thumbsup:

So what would those problems within the club that you agree with be George ?
 
@ George - as a Fully paid up trader on this site I'm dissapointed to see you write this? I don't know if you were being sarcastic :dunno:

If you have a problem with anything on this site I would expect to get a PM from you :dunno:

@Alan yeah being sarcastic. hence the :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: the nly problem ive noticed and didnt bother mentioning it but looks like its being sorted now is the "for sale" section- clearly states private sales only and no "traders" when every 2nd day i looked at the section there was something for sale from a ""trader"" now i remember posting up a couple of things months ago in the for sale section and they were whipped down like a light. I know this is going to cause trouble but it has to be said..... if the commitee are going around looking for other traders to join and sponsor the club then the little problems such as that will have to be stopped. you cant have rules for one trader and rules for another, it gives a bad impression of the club, which i think is great by the way and not bein able to post in the for sale section doesnt bother me but i think it has to be said as if its noticed by other traders who might be thinking of joining then they wont bother as they would think there was some kind of "click" going on. which is exactly what i thought when i 1st joined but after getting to know a good lot of the lads i realised there isnt. im just saying how it would look from the outside for somebody who doesnt know the lads.

George - my only response to that is that we are not always aware that these ads are from traders, if you or anyone believes that traders are posting here then you should let us know.

Neither I or the rest of the moderators here can judge all private sales from trader sales... am sure you can understand that. Again there is nothing 'cloak and dagger' about this.
