Paint it or Wrap it..

vitalie

Petrolheads
there's some small scrapes done on the car and was thinking to wrap it or paint it,
now it would cost me e400 for vinyl and e600 for the work, what much is to respray a car this days?

Now was thinking if ill wrap it than ill go with Silver but if i respray it than ill stick with blue, ANY OPINIONS ARE WELCOME...

not a fan of silver but you could do something really cool if wrapping, trouble is with paint is you repair it then ya scratch it soon after murphys law :wall:

wrappin would get the nod from me , although paint will still need fixing when wrap is removed . and colourwise id go for a unique colour to subaru , not suggesting anything mad or silly looking , but more a shade that is subtle, cool and eyecatching all at the same time !

Paint it, a wrap is not paint. If you are fussy about marks, a wrap won't make you happy.
And a 1,000 euro wrap is cheap I can't imagine it's going to be all that good for that money.
Who ever is doing the wrap for you, I would be very specific about how you want it finished and what parts you want wrapped. Where joins are going to be and what bits they are going to take off to wrap under.
It could end up looking very tatty quickly.
When you pull the wrap off any paint on the car that is not factory will come off too.

I'd just get one of the dent crowds to come out and fix any bits for you.

I've had my own car wrapped btw.

just seen that now, not silver, jayyyssssus, wouldnt be a fan of silver meself, meant gray, metalic gray.

seen a silver bentley going around, IMO, A BIG NO NOO, done some wrapping on my car the likes of bonnet and boot lid, the heat under the bonnet is pushing the wrap but then again only paid small bucks for it so wasnt expecting much.

but this lad that is doin hes done few car in he's time wouldnt have any doubts about him to be honest, saw few video's on YOUTUBE about paint deeping your car, looks great and its only $350 for 5L, good baragain in my eyes, a friend of mine done it, and the good thing is that if you dont like it the rubber comes off with no damages to your paint... :smokin:
