painting top mount

my intercooler is lookng a bit dirty and worn as it has a few bent fins and so can anyone tell me would it be ok to spray paint it.....
just to tidy it up a bit

i was thinking of spraying it black with b4 in blue in the middle or is that just a bit boy racer looking

any opinions welcome

it can be painted no bother John, just make sure you get some degreaser and give it a good scrub, scuff it up, spray on some etch primer and then paint away

would painting it not mess with the thermal efficiency of the top mount , was told this by a couple of different tuners re a fmic . but andy c has recently done it . jus something to consider !

I used mesh and it tidy it up nicely.

Andys was a really light coat.

APS and Perrin supply black front mounts from new. The difference is so tiny its not worth talking about as no where near the max efficency of the core.

Also depends how its done.

There is only so many ways to polish a turd John its still going to look shite! You can buy my Hyperflow one when i switch to FMIC

i never used high temp paint on any engine bay parts, a few years ago when rocker cover painting was the new thing i was doing 4-5 a week, its all about the prep the primers you use, i never had one back with any sort of bother and ran one on my civic for 4 years with no hassle

ive used red high temp paint on my fmic and it looks savage
