Anybody know any places that powder coat alloys?

Some lowering springs going on soon so that wil help the low rider look! Opinions?

Hi Dan.

I know of a place in Tallaght that do Powder coating. It's Tallaght Powder Coating Ltd. 01-4564020. Heard v.good reports about their work! The pic looks well!

That looks feckin savage. Are they anthracite or do your know? You could always paint them yourself with the stuff from halfords. Think Duffman did it recently..

i did a set of wheels for the track, but for a realy good finish i would go with above

thanks for the link Dave, bit of a trip to get up to them though. Ideally i'd get the alloys refurbed, then powder coated.

But as far as colour goes, black on black? gunmetal? ones in the picture were sprayed flat black according to owner. presume thats an American term for matt black.

i dont think i would have the skills do do a good job on them that would look well and last

Colins Engineering in bray! ring 11890 for a number
As far as I know, It's about €350 to get them stripped repaired and repainted, pretty much any colour you want!
Sound lads,
Would be my choice!
I love the dark wheels!
Dan

Yep!
I brought a set of badly damaged (buckled) wheels to them for repainting, And that would have been €450
But straight wheels with scuffs and stuff, €350 for the lot!
Mark is the lad I delt with!

Ye i left one wheel in there to Colins engineering off the Altezza, was badly curbed, they got it nice and smooth again but couldnt match the finish of the original which had sort of a chrome edge on the spokes, so the well had a bit of a dull spot on it. not too noticeable but not perfect, Im thinking if i need to lower the car a bit as painted rims with the height its at currently would look a bit weird in my opinion.

@BlackLegacy: as for the tail lights, waiting on his reply, but i have a feeling they are a custom jobbie

ye was thinking of going for those STI wheels but i think you can only get them in 18"s so then i would realise that i would be able to fit the Brembo's behind them, then i would need to add more power to justify the better stopping power. Its a vicious cycle! Damn you putting ideas into my head Echo! damn you!

You should find out where he got those tinted rear lights, they look great

its actually protective laminate film(Lamin-X) that goes over the standard lights. going to order some smoked tints up for mine. I'll find out do they do ones for Impreza's too, if anyone is interested
