PAYMENT FOR CLUB EVENTS

Nobody is blaming the committee,as the post suggested it was intended to try and make things easier and to get people to part with their cash for CLUB EVENTS on a one to one basis-simple if your interested in a track day i arrange to meet you and you pay-if you don't show i presume you are no longer interested,i can then inform one of the event organisers and we can presume they are no longer interested-this in turn would give us a better idea of those that are serious in taking part in certain club events-as you said above the event was cancelled because nobody paid up

........and as you said above, somebody had paid and then found out we had cancelled. This is not true and that fact needs to be recorded.

As for payment options, at the moment they're simple and easy and they do the job

Figure of speech NODGE,read the post again, never mentioned any one had paid up,it was in general for all events not just for the trackday, and again it was only a suggestion-so much for trying to make the club better

This is where we disagree Dave. I don't think a lack of payment options is a problem for the club. Similarly, I don't think having quasi debt collectors driving around the greater Dublin area would improve the club in any way.

If people want something they'll pay, if they don't want it they won't - simple!

Nodge i wasn't knocking the payment plans we have in place at the moment-there actually good-i was just looking to see what other members thought or if they had other ideas themselves-i agree if people want somthing they'll pay,but in saying that when member's put there name down for the trackday the obviously wanted to do it,but when it came to paying they didn't,i know some people had different issues about the trackday(sh*t-box's etc),but i think if this is to be kept as an annual club event we need more commitment from members(maybe a non-refundable deposit at the start of the year)and if people are worried about who they are on the track with maybe we could organise a trackday with some of the other clubs(RS owners-Porshe etc.)
